PRO SILICATE GROTEK
Pro-Silicate™ is a nutrient that strengthens plants, improves nutrient uptake and increases resistance to pests and diseases. When added to nutrient solutions, it promotes healthy root systems, larger harvests and leaves with higher chlorophyll concentration. It also increases CO2 uptake and provides potassium for better flowering, as well as increasing tolerance to salinity. Its use reduces the incidence of fungal diseases and improves plant quality in various cropping systems.
Pro-Silicate™ is an essential plant nutrient that, although found in most soils, has not previously been incorporated into hydroponic and aeroponic nutrient solutions. The silicon in Pro-Silicate™ strengthens plant cell walls, resulting in healthier, more robust plants with dense root systems and increased resistance to pests and diseases.
This nutrient should be added as a separate component each time a new feeding solution is prepared. Pro-Silicate™ plays a key role in the absorption and vascular transport of mineral nutrients, improving the plant's mechanical strength and its ability to resist fungal diseases. Its use in nutrient solutions can significantly reduce the incidence and severity of diseases such as Botrytis and powdery mildew.
Recent research has shown that the application of silicon in nutrient solutions promotes denser, healthier root systems and more abundant harvests. In addition, Pro-Silicate™ increases chlorophyll concentration per unit leaf area, allowing plants to better tolerate varying light levels.
The main benefits of applying Pro-Silicate™ include improved nutrient uptake and transport through the plant, strengthened cell walls to resist pests and diseases, increased chlorophyll production for more intense green colour and more efficient light absorption, increased uptake of available CO2, additional supply of essential potassium for flowering and increased tolerance to high salinity, reducing problems related to nutrient toxicity and imbalances.
