B.A.C pH Up is a product that allows you to adjust the pH of the nutrient solution to levels suitable for your substrate. It contains nitric acid, which provides additional nitrogen to the solution. It is important to handle this product with caution, as nitric acid can cause contact burns.

When using organic stimulators, it is necessary to correct the pH, as acids can remove important characteristics of these stimulators. On the other hand, when using chemical fertilisers, it is recommended to correct the pH after adding the fertilisers, and then add the stimulators with the pH adjusted.

B.A.C pH Down and pH Up are also useful for removing bicarbonate present in water with high hardness. To prepare the solution, pH Down is added until a pH of 5.2 is reached, which allows the acid to react with the bicarbonate and reduce the pH of the water to around 3. You can then use pH Up to adjust the pH to the appropriate levels according to the type of substrate and the type of fertiliser you are using.
