Combination of Cocos and Perlite:

High Porosity Cocos combines the characteristics of ATAMI's coconut substrate with perlite to provide increased aeration and porosity in the substrate.

ATAMI coco coir is known for its cleanliness, low concentration of harmful salts and balanced fertilisation. It undergoes maturation, washing, buffering and light fertilisation processes to achieve these qualities.

Perlite:

Perlite is an amorphous rock formed during volcanic eruptions. It expands at high temperature, increasing its original size by approximately twenty times.

Mixing perlite with the substrate significantly increases the volume of the substrate and creates a porous structure.

The addition of perlite to the coco increases the percentage of air in the substrate to approximately 30%. This is essential for root development, as plants require oxygen to metabolise sugars and obtain energy. Oxygen promotes the expansion and development of the root system.
